Meet the Vision Specialties Staff
Dr. David Ward
A life-long Idaho resident, Dr. David Ward has been providing Boise-area families with friendly, professional eyecare for nearly 20 years.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in biology from Albertson College in 1978, Dr. Ward earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1982.
When he's not in the office, Dr. Ward may be found camping with his wife and son or chasing bugs! As an avid amateur entomologist, Dr. Ward has traveled to Mexico numerous times for insect research expeditions. He serves as an associate researcher for the Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History at Albertson College of Idaho.
Dr. Zackery Hall
Dr. Hall served three years as Chief of Optometry at Minot AFB in North Dakota. He was the primary optometrist for over 13,000 possible beneficiaries of all ages. While serving, he developed the first refractive surgery program at Minot AFB.
Raised in Melba, Dr. Hall returned to the area with his family after completing his service. We are excited to have Dr. Hall bring his experience and expertise to the practice. His arrival allows us to offer extended hours to our patients.
Dr. Hall enjoys outdoor sports including golf, and he enjoys spending time with his family.
Emily - Dispensary Team Leader
Emily has been with us since 1997. She has taken over the duties at the dispensary, where her responsibilities include patient product education, assisting patients with frame selection and ordering glasses, as well as frames purchasing and dispensing eyewear.
Her smiling face and cheery voice help make our office a pleasant place for patients and staff alike!
When she's not working, you can find Emily in the outdoors biking, camping, and fishing with her husband and family.
Sherri - Receptionist
Sherri has great organizational skills from raising a family of 11. She's very nice, and will go the extra mile for you. In her free time, Sherri likes to create jewelry, sew, read and spend time with her family.
